Yusuf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. قَالَ مَعَاذَ ٱللَّهِ أَن نَّأْخُذَ إِلَّا مَن وَجَدْنَا مَتَـٰعَنَا عِندَهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًا لَّظَـٰلِمُونَ 79
(79) Йусуф ответил: «Упаси нас Аллах задержать того, среди вещей которого не оказалось чаши! Если мы поступим таким образом, то будем несправедливы. Мы не станем наказывать невиновного за то, что чаша оказалась в сумке другого человека. Воистину, несправедливо наказывать того, кто не заслуживает наказания». Йусуф сказал, что он наказывает того, среди вещей которого нашли чашу, и не сказал, что он наказывает вора. Такими словами он пытался избежать лжи.
