Al-Mursalaat

هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ 35 وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ 36 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ 37
(35-37) Maknanya, ini adalah hari besar dan dahsyat bagi orang-orang yang mendustakan. Mereka tidak bisa berkata-kata di dalamnya karena amat takut. ﴾ وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ ﴿ "Dan tidak diizinkan kepada mereka meminta udzur sehingga mereka (dapat) minta udzur," maksudnya udzur mereka tidak diterima meski mereka mengemu-kakannya. (Dalam ayat lain), ﴾ فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ مَعۡذِرَتُهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يُسۡتَعۡتَبُونَ 57 ﴿ "Maka pada hari itu tidak bermanfaat (lagi) bagi orang-orang yang zhalim permintaan udzur mereka, dan tidak pula mereka diberi kesempatan bertaubat lagi." (Ar-Rum: 57).
