Al-Mursalaat
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ 16 ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ 17 كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ 18 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ 19
(16-19) Maknanya, bukankah Kami telah membinasakan para pendusta terdahulu kemudian Kami teruskan dengan mem-binasakan orang yang berdusta selanjutnya? Ini adalah ketetapan Allah سبحانه وتعالى dahulu dan selanjutnya bagi setiap pendosa. Orang berdosa pasti disiksa Allah سبحانه وتعالى, lantas mengapa kalian tidak mengambil pela-jaran dari apa yang kalian lihat dan kalian dengar? ﴾ وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿ "Kecelakaan besarlah pada hari itu bagi orang-orang yang mendustakan," yakni, setelah mereka menyaksikan tanda-tanda kebesaran Allah سبحانه وتعالى yang jelas, siksaan-siksaan, dan hukuman.
