Al-Jaathiya
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. إِنَّهُمْ لَن يُغْنُوا۟ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيْـًٔا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِىُّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ 19
(19) ﴾ إِنَّهُمۡ لَن يُغۡنُواْ عَنكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ شَيۡـٔٗاۚ ﴿ "Sesungguhnya mereka sekali-kali tidak akan dapat menolak dari kamu sedikitpun dari (siksaan) Allah." Artinya, mereka tidak berguna untukmu di hadapan Allah سبحانه وتعالى se-hingga mereka tidak dapat memberikan kebaikan untukmu dan mencegah keburukan darimu jika engkau mengikuti keinginan-keinginan mereka. Engkau dan mereka amat berbeda dan sebagian dari mereka adalah penolong atas sebagian yang lain. ﴾ وَٱللَّهُ وَلِيُّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ ﴿ "Dan Allah adalah pelindung orang-orang yang bertakwa," Yang akan mengeluarkan mereka dari kegelapan menuju cahaya karena ke-takwaan dan ketaatan mereka. 9
