Fussilat
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا مَا جَآءُوهَا شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَمْعُهُمْ وَأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْ وَجُلُودُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ 20
(20) ﴾ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا مَا جَآءُوهَا ﴿ "Sehingga apabila mereka sampai ke sana," maksudnya, hingga apabila mereka sudah tiba di neraka dan hen-dak melakukan pengingkaran, atau mengingkari kemaksiatan-ke-maksiatan yang telah mereka kerjakan, ﴾ شَهِدَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ سَمۡعُهُمۡ وَأَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ وَجُلُودُهُم ﴿ "pendengaran, penglihatan, dan kulit mereka bersaksi melawan mereka." Ini adalah ungkapan umum setelah ungkapan yang bermakna khusus, ﴾ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ﴿ "tentang apa yang telah mereka kerjakan." Setiap anggota tubuh mereka memberikan kesaksian. Setiap anggota badan itu mengatakan: Aku telah melakukan perbuatan ini pada hari anu, dan seterusnya. Hanya tiga anggota tubuh ini saja yang disebutkan, karena kebanyakan dosa-dosa disebabkan karenanya atau disebabkan olehnya.
