Aal-i-Imraan
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَإِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَرِيقًا يَلْوُۥنَ أَلْسِنَتَهُم بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ ٱللَّهِ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ 78
(78) Maksudnya, di antara Ahli Kitab ada suatu kelompok yang memutarbalikkan Kitabullah, ﴾ يَلۡوُۥنَ أَلۡسِنَتَهُم بِٱلۡكِتَٰبِ لِتَحۡسَبُوهُ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ﴿ "yang memutar-mutar lidahnya membaca al-Kitab, supaya kamu menyangka yang dibacanya itu sebagian dari al-Kitab." Ini adalah pemutarbalikan lafazh dan maknanya. Kemudian di sam-ping penyimpangan yang sangat keji itu, mereka membuat hal itu seolah-olah dari al-Kitab, padahal mereka adalah orang-orang yang berdusta dalam hal tersebut, mereka menampakkan kedustaan terhadap Allah, padahal mereka mengetahui keadaan mereka dan buruknya akibatnya.
