Al-Kahf
This is a translation of Tafsīr as-Saʿdī as IslamHouse.com publishes it at saadi.islamenc.com, read from that site’s pages. The site does not say who translated it or which printed edition it follows, and states no terms for taking its text, so the right to show it is not verified. Nobody has compared it with a printed book, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there; a verse the site gives no commentary of its own stands with the passage before it, and the index names each such verse. وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَن ذِى ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ ۖ قُلْ سَأَتْلُوا۟ عَلَيْكُم مِّنْهُ ذِكْرًا 83
(83) Orang-orang ahli Kitab atau kaum musyrikin bertanya kepada Rasulullah tentang kisah Dzulqarnain. Maka Allah meme-rintahkan beliau untuk berkata, ﴾ سَأَتۡلُواْ عَلَيۡكُم مِّنۡهُ ذِكۡرًا 83 ﴿ "Aku akan bacakan kepadamu cerita tentangnya." Di dalam kisah ini, terdapat berita yang bermanfaat dan arah pembicaraan yang menakjubkan. Maksudnya, aku akan menceritakan kepada kalian tentang sifat-sifatnya yang bisa menjadi bahan perenungan dan pelajaran. Ada-pun keadaan-keadaan selain itu, maka beliau tidak membacakan (ceritanya) kepada mereka.
