Nobody has compared it with a printed book or a manuscript, and no scholar has reviewed it. Each passage stands beside the verses it comments on, which are the Qur’ān text of Tanzil, shown as it is there. وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ 105
﴿وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنا في الزَّبُورِ﴾ هو كِتابُ داوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ، وقِيلَ: هو اسْمٌ لِجِنْسِ ما أُنْزِلَ عَلى الأنْبِياءِ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلامُ.
﴿مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ﴾ أيِ: التَّوْراةُ، وقِيلَ: اللَّوْحُ المَحْفُوظُ، أيْ: وبِاللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَتَبَنا في كِتابِ داوُدَ بَعْدَ ما كَتَبْنا في التَّوْراةِ، أوْ كَتَبْنا في جَمِيعِ الكُتُبِ المُنَـزَّلَةِ بَعْدَما كَتَبْنا وأثْبَتْنا في اللَّوْحِ المَحْفُوظِ.
﴿أنَّ الأرْضَ يَرِثُها عِبادِيَ الصّالِحُونَ﴾ أيْ: عامَّةُ المُؤْمِنِينَ بَعْدَ إجْلاءِ الكُفّارِ وهَذا وعْدٌ مِنهُ تَعالى بِإظْهارِ الدِّينِ وإعْزازِ أهْلِهِ. وعَنِ ابْنِ عَبّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُما: أنَّ المُرادَ: أرْضُ الجَنَّةِ كَما يُنْبِئُ عَنْهُ قَوْلُهُ تَعالى: ﴿وَقالُوا الحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَنا وعْدَهُ وأوْرَثَنا الأرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ الجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشاءُ﴾، وقِيلَ: الأرْضُ المُقَدَّسَةُ يَرِثُها أُمَّةُ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ .
